April Performance Lineup

Elvis se Seun

Sunday, 1 April 2018

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Given the title “King of Boere Rock Music”, Elvis se Seun has a heart as wild as his farm, “Genadeland”.  With beautiful Afrikaans lyrics, he’ll take your heart right back to the plaas.  Nominated countless times, Elvis se Seun won best Afrikaans album of the year at NAMA in 2014, and once you hear his songs, you’ll see why.

See “Onder die Sekelmaan” here.

Sandy Lee

Monday, 2 April 2018

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Sandy Lee, also known as the Cherokee Country Girl, has been around the world and back again singing her heart out.  After moving to America and being discovered there, Sandy Lee went on to sing in Hong Kong and America, before coming back to South Africa and gracing us with her country talents.  And now she’s here on our stage for you to listen to and enjoy.

Saturday, 7 April 2018

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

This duo (Andries Potgieter and Wiaan Fourie) pack a bunch, and not just with singing.  While the duo produce beautiful harmonies and heart-felt songs, they are also both international runway models.  As if that wasn’t enough, they’re both rhino ambassadors, which means they have a soft spot for animals.  Be sure to come out to give your ears (and eyes) a treat this Saturday.

See “Die Hele Wereld” here.

Stephan Visagie

Sunday, 8 April 2018

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

A self-described introvert, Stephan Visagie overcame all to bring his voice to the world, to all of our benefit.  He received the best song of the year OFM Award in 2017 and 2018 is going to be just as good.  With his husky voice and charming persona, you won’t be wasting your time coming out to see him perform.

See “For Keeps” here.

Saturday, 14 April 2018

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

ShoNeill’s been around and entertained people through it all.  Having performed on various cruise ships as well as Sun City, there’s a reason they keep wanting her back.  With a beautiful voice and a wonderful stage presence, she’ll have you begging for more.  And don’t leave too soon, she’ll be signing autographs and taking pictures after her performance!

See “Ek Het Jou Lief” here.

Vernon Barnard

Sunday, 15 April 2018

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Vernon Barnard started his singing career at school talent competition in 2012 and hasn’t looked back since.  He released his first album just 2 years later and then competed on the voice to get his name out there.  After proceeding to the final round, I think we can all agree that this boy can sing!  Combined with his unique song-writing, it makes for an all-around amazing performance.

See “Voel” here.

Karin Bekker

Saturday, 21 April 2018

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

With her smooth, beautiful voice and her gentle stage presence, Karin Bekker brings to the stage a new flavor of contemporary and pop.  She studied music both in high school and university and it shows in her understanding of singing and song-writing.  Be sure to come out and enjoy her smooth sound.

See “Vriendskap” here.

Sunday, 22 April 2018

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Having just performed in Texas, and even receiving the Best Female Vocalist Texas Music Award, HunTer is back and ready to sing on our stage.  With her silky voice, HunTer has hosted various radio shows and been on TV multiple times.  But now she’s here to sing you some of the classic oldies all the way to modern songs and some originals of her own.

See “Gee Nooit Op, Gee Nooit In” here.

Matt Stern

Firday, 27 April 2018

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Straying from the usual genres, Matt Stern is actually a professional trained opera tenor and has a voice to prove it.  While he sings a range of songs, jumping from Elvis to opera, his favorite (and his specialty) is golden oldies.  Be sure to come out and reminisce with of days gone by.

See Matt Stern sing “Are you Lonesome Tonight” here.

Mari Bosman

Saturday, 28 April 2018

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Mari Bosman describes her music as “Rooiwyn Rock” and it’s definitely popular.  She’s produced multiple singles that have been featured on “Country is Groot”, “Treffer na Treffer”, and on various radio stations.  He lighthearted music will set you in a great mood for a Saturday afternoon.

See “Skakerings” here.

Ghapi and band

Sunday, 29 April 2018

2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

A rarity, Ghapi is a singer/drummer!  Keeping beautiful rhythm while maintaining accurate vocals is a skill not many can manage but it’s pulled off wonderfully here.  There’s a clear reason why Ghapi and his band have been featured all over, but don’t just take our word for it.  Come out and see them yourself!

See “In the Air Tonight” here.
