Easter Weekend Activities in Pretoria

The beautiful Jacaranda City is blooming with egg-citing Easter activities throughout the Easter weekend, Friday, 30 March to Monday, 2 April 2018. There’s something suited to all ages and types, so make sure to check out the list below or risk missing out on some fantastic adventures!

Easter Weekend in Pretoria - Fun Activities for the Family

1. Cedar Junction Theme Park

The children will thoroughly enjoy the Cedar Junction Theme Park Easter Egg Hunt from 30 March to 1 April between 9am and 5pm. The cost is R80 for adults and 60 for children aged between 2 and 12 years. While visiting this enticing park, children can also go on a train ride – the park is home to three mini-trains that take the youngsters on a scenic park ride through tunnels and over bridges. 2. Montana Family Market

Committed to family fun, Montana has organised a number of fantastic Easter activities taking place all Easter weekend. Children can hunt for prizes at Montana’s famous treasure hunt and get their photograph taken with the Easter bunny. Fun continues at the princess jumping castle, balloon sculpture and face painting stations as well as a special Easter egg painting class at a cost of R10. There will also be live musical entertainment for the adults with a line-up boasting upbeat singer, Georic Lomas; contemporary Afrikaans duo, Heuning; ‘King of Boere Music’ Elvis se Seun and Cherokee Country Girl, Sandy Lee. For shoppers, there are more than 500 stalls to browse as well as a host of food outlets. Based at the corner of Zambesi and Enkeldoorn, the entrance to Montana is only R2.

Kids Entertainemnet at Montanta Family Market

We have a ton going on this weekend to celebrate Easter and we’re especially focusing on the kids!  We’re having an extra special famous treasure hunt with prizes and a visit by the Easter Bunny with photo ops for the kids.  Add to that a princess jumping castle, balloon sculptures, and face-painting and you have a wonderful weekend!

We’re extending the weekend activities to Sunday just for Easter and bringing back the princess jumping castle and the famous treasure hunt to keep the kids entertained while you get to come out and enjoy the long weekend.

3. Easter Royal Icing Class

This is a truly fun and creative way to spend your Easter weekend. The Yellow Hat Chef is hosting a beginner’s class in royal icing decorating which – in six hours – will teach you everything you need to know about delicious decorating. The fee of R725 covers all materials as well as light refreshments. The class runs on 31 March from 10am to 3pm at Centurion Golf Estate. Email nadine@yellowhatchef.co.za to book.

 

4. Carousel Easter Power Bunny

The Carousel Hotel in Pretoria has organised a special appearance by the Easter Bunny with delicious eggs to be enjoyed. The hotel - which is home to a casino, spa, restaurant and gaming area – is running a number of fun competitions over the weekend including hampers, meal vouchers and a chance to win your share of R7000. 5. Waterkloof House Easter Hunt and Buffet Lunch

On 2 April from 1pm, the beautiful Waterkloof House is hosting a delicious lunch buffet with an organised Easter egg hunt for the children, all taking place in the stunning garden area. The cost is R350 for adults, R250 for children aged 12 to 16, R150 for children aged 6 to 12 and free for children under 6 years. 6. Zambibush Resort Easter Treasure Hunt

This fantastic children-focused resort is hosting its annual Easter Weekend Treasure Hunt throughout the Easter period, at a cost of R80 per adult and R60 per child. There is so much more to do at this brilliant venue including visiting the petting zoo, taking a dip in a pool or splashing along the water slides.
